Here at Carolina College Tours we like to follow through on our promises. We want to ensure that not only do you get the chance to see the colleges in the great state of North Carolina, but you also are prepared to take the next step after the tour by enrolling and applying. We all understand that money is a major concern for everyone involved in the college search so we address that concern right here.

 

One of our current scholarships, The Zachary V Peirce Scholarship is in the amount of $500 paid directly to the  college or university inwhich the student  has enrolled in. Please see the following pages for the application and more information.

General Eligibility Requirements for Carolina College Tours                                          Scholarships

 

If you are awarded a scholarship, your award notification will be sent to you by mail.

Eligibility for the Carolina College Tours Scholarship, and for continued eligibility in subsequent years, is based upon the requirements below. Lost eligibility may be regained by meeting eligibility requirements in the second academic year.

 

 

  1. Recipient must be registered with Carolina College Tours though our application and essay process.

 

  1. Recipient must be a U.S citizen or eligible non-citizen under state residency statutes.

 

  1. Recipient must be a North Carolina resident at the time of high school graduation and during the period of the award.

 

  1. Recipient must be a registered as a full or part-time student in a 1 to 4 year Trade, Technical, Community College or University before leaving high school.

 

  1. A drawing will be held to award 3 or more scholarships at the end of each school year.

 

  1. All fully registered applicants are eligible to apply.

 

  1. The scholarship committee will consist of the Board of Directors and local professional business personal.

 

  1. Each committee member will be selected based on their background in community development skills.

 

  1. Family members of the committee are eligible to apply and they must complete the application and the essay, and follow all the guide lines. There information will be treated as all other applicants. Each winning applicant will be chosen by a drawing.

 

  1. Scholarship funds shall be placed in a separate bank account and noted as such. The account will require two signatures (by the board of directors) before any funds can be removed only for the purpose of a scholarship award. The date and time shall be recorded for inspection at anytime. The organization will update the account with monthly statements.

 

  1. If you are receiving the scholarship or other financial aid, dropping a class or withdrawing may affect your potential refund. Depending upon the type(s) of financial aid awards involved, withdrawal date, the amount of the refund, and other factors, you might receive a portion of the refund amount or none of the refund amount. Under certain circumstances, if you withdraw or drop classes, you may be required to repay your scholarship. This is necessary when the refund amount is insufficient to meet the financial aid fund recovery requirements .If you are considering withdrawing or dropping classes, you should contact the Office of Financial Aid and the Scholarship committee before taking this action.

 

  1. Any misuses of scholarship funds by any member of Carolina College Tours will be held accountable for their actions and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
